The beach of Torre Mozza is 3 km away from the center of Follonica, it is a beautiful beach "guarded" by an ancient tower of 1500 which had the function of sighting any Saracen raids. The parking lots are located behind the beach, however in the height of summer they could be a bit small compared to the numerous bathers who go there. There are both bathing establishments and a free beach. The environment is wild, composed of sandy dunes and reeds, remember that the beach of Torre Mozza is also part of the Coastal Park of Sterpaia.
About thirty meters from the shore, about a meter below the surface of the water, you can see a cliff that runs parallel to the coast for hundreds of meters; some identify this cliff with a stretch of the ancient Via Aurelia. We do not know if it is only a legend, it is certain that by arming yourself with a mask and snorkel, on this submerged cliff you will be able to see octopuses, sea bream, sea bass, white breams and salpe.
